Skippered Cruises 2026
With the addition of Northern Spirit to our fleet in 2026, we are pleased to offer a selection of sailing trips around Shetland, and further afield. These trips are ideal for those with a sense of adventure who would like to expand their sea time and equally for those who want to try sailing for the first time. No experience is necessary.

Our experienced skippers and first mates will provide a comprehensive safety briefing on boarding for all trips. During your time on board, you will take an active part in sailing the boat, under instruction, and learn a range of navigation and sailing skills. While a general direction and itinerary will be planned, the weather, tides and other factors will be taken into account when plotting each course.

The yacht is a luxurious Beneteau Oceanis 47 with 4 double guest cabins and three toilets with showers. There are social areas in the saloon and on deck and a spacious galley for preparing meals. During the trip everyone will work together to prepare meals and share on board chores to truly be part of the crew.

Prices listed are per person based on two sharing a double cabin. Bedding is provided as individual single duvets and towels are also provided. Trip prices include all meals on board, accommodation, skipper service and cleaning charge.

4 Day Shetland Cruise - June 2026
​
Set sail from Lerwick on an exploration of the stunning Shetland coastline.
​
Depending on the wind and tides, we may head up the east coast, stopping in along Whalsay and Skerries and exploring the spectacular seabird colonies on Noss.
​
Other options may be southwards towards Mousa and Sumburgh Head - with the possiblity of reaching Fair Isle in a fair wind.
​
Each night, we will berth or anchor in a new location and enjoy a meal together on board, sharing stories and creating new memories. Musical instruments welcome!

Planned dates are 26th to 30th June.

4 day / night trip - £750 per person.

10 Day Return Sail to Norway
Departing from Lerwick, this extended voyage will cross the North Sea to Norway, stopping first in Bergen to clear Customs and take in the delightful Bergen harbour Bryggen and Bergen fish market.
​
From there, the Skipper will use her past experience of sailing the fjords to plan a route to explore the breathtaking scenery and wondrous geology, with a few stops at different locations before heading back to Lerwick.
​
Planned dates are 8th - 18th July.

10 day trip - £1800 per person.

4 Day Shetland Sail - 21st to 25th August
A second chance for a later season trip around the Shetland coastline. Again, led by tides and fair winds, we have a range of options for our direction of sail. A cruise around the north Shetland mainland could see visits to Collafirth, Busta Voe or Bay of Ollaberry.
With so many places and isles to explore we will find a new location every night to berth or anchor, enjoying sunsets and good food and company after a day of successful sailing.
This trip is an ideal opportunity to learn the basics of sailing or just rack up more sea time for your own personal log.
